Brief Personality Description: Jamie suffers from a severe case of wanderlust. It hurts him being earthbound, but he's stuck here- unable to cross into the Doctor's timeline and get off the planet that way because that way he might never be born, and unwilling to hitch rides with some of the less savory earth visitors. So he feels stuck. His recent regeneration makes it easier, some- things taste different, they feel different, they're not as dull and familiar but. but.
Brief History: Jamie was born in 1861, concieved in 200,100. He killed his father being born, but, fortunately, his father was Jack Harkness and his body knit back together. He and his father traveled- Jack fiercely over protective and very confused by this tiny life that seemingly came out of no where. As Jamie got older, the genius intellect and the really big ears slowly gave away who his other genetic donor was. The how remains under question. Jamie kept getting older. Jack didn't. Jamie went to university then started to travel, all over the world and wanting more than the world because it was so small it was closing in on him. His father told him stories about different centuries, different planets, different everything and Jamie wanted.
But he also heard about paradoxes, about destroying time and universes, and everything he loved so he never crossed his other parent's timeline. His father started working for Torchwood- they kept up a correspondence in a language that wouldn't be invented for another 30,000 years. Jamie traveled the artic. Paris. Climbed Mt. Everest.
When Jamie was 146 and looked almost every minute of it, he had a heart attack on the floor of the Sistine Chapel. His dying thought was 'Not yet, I want to see more, I want more time.'
He woke in a hospital morgue with a different face and a young body.
He went Cardiff, to his father.
